Biography

Skylar Cheyenne Briley was born to Raymond (Bugs) and Lea Dora (Brown) Briley in Paris, Texas on August 19, 1993. Skylar went home to be with his precious, heavenly father on Saturday, April 28, 2013 in Mead, Oklahoma at the age of nineteen. Skylar graduated from Madill High School in 2012. Skylar always had a beautiful smile for whomever he met and he never met a stranger. He lived life to the fullest and was always ready to help.

He was employed by XPO contracted by Michelin in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was a former employee of Best Western in Madill, Oklahoma. Skylar was a member of boy scouts. He loved to hunt deer, squirrel and loved to fish with his two best friends; his mom and dad. He loved to pick on his three sisters.

Skylar and Selena (Mendez) were united in marriage in Madill, Oklahoma on February 24, 2012 at New Beginnings church. They made their home in Madill.

He loved reading his bible that his Aunt Terri gave him at the age of three and he gave her his t-shirt that said “God’s been good to me.”

Skylar was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hosie Briley Sr. and Earnestine Briley and maternal great grand parents, Marlin and Dora Lee Brown.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Raymond (Bugs) and Lea Dora (Brown) Briley of Madill; three sisters, Crystal Briley and fiancée Isaac Ramirez of Madill, Oklahoma; Zoey and Raylee Briley of the home; grandparents Biff and Jean Teel of Holly Creek, Oklahoma and wife Selena (Mendez) Briley of Madill, Oklahoma.

Five uncles, Hosie Briley Jr. and wife Carolyn of Valliant, Oklahoma; Robert Briley and wife Edwanna of Wright City, Oklahoma; Johnny and Lawrence Briley of Valliant, Oklahoma; and Travis (Snake) Briley.

Four aunts, Augustine Neal, Robin Millerand, Carolyn Briley all of Valliant, Oklahoma, and Terri Walters and husband Ricky Walters of Hochatown, Oklahoma.

A host of relatives, cousins and true, blessed and dedicated friends. You all know who you are. Skylar Cheyenne Briley loved each and every one of you.
