Anna Mae Williams

Anna Mae Williams of Durant Oklahoma went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 30, 2016. She was born November 27, 1948 to James and Catherine Cameron in Dyess, Arkansas. Anna spent most of her earlier years growing up in Texas and graduating from McKinney high school in 1956. She married Richard Perez Anzaldua and had 7 children and divorced years later. She then moved to Durant in 1980 where she met and married James Roy Williams and together made their home. She was saved at an early age as Baptist then was baptized into the Pentecostal faith. She loved doing crossword puzzles & especially watching the" Jerry Springer” show. Anna had a very close sister in law Mary Perez Anzaldua from her 1st marriage that stayed in touch with her throughout the years as she grew older. Mary has been Anna's confidant and grew a bond no one could break. Anna attended LPN school and worked in several nursing homes as a nurse’s aide and performed private health care for many families taking care of the elderly. She loved helping others and always put hem ahead of her own needs. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Roy Williams, sisters, Betty Nichols, Opal Wells, Linda Littrell and Edna Damon, brother, Billy Cameron and daughters Sandra Mae Thomas and Angela Sue Anzaldua. She is survived by her children Michelle Dooley and husband Richard, Richard Perez Anzaldua Jr. and wife Jessica, Margaret Stephens, James Anzaldua all of Durant, John Paul Anzaldua and wife Nora of New Orleans, LA and Cathy and J.R. Williams of Durant; grandchildren, Breanna and Mark McDonald, Lesa and Daniel Marshall, Timmy Dooley, Ashley Gomez, Cameron, Camdon, Cory and Dalton Anzaldua, Taylor and Tara Thomas, Brandon, China, Madison, Emalee, and Bailey Anzaldua; 10 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friend, Jennifer Taylor Gibson who had been a close friend of the family for many years. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Monty Wood will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery in Achille with Anna’s grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
