Charles "Butch" Boucher

Charles Allen “Butch” Boucher, age 73 of Armstrong, Oklahoma departed this life for his heavenly home on Friday, September 22, 2017 in Denison, Texas surrounded by his family. Butch was born on December 15, 1943 in San Diego, California. Butch served his country as a fireman in the U.S. Air Force and upon discharge, met and married Regina Marie Buchanan on July 31, 1964 in Oklahoma City. They later moved with there three children to the Durant area, settling in Armstrong, where their home has remained the center of family and friends gatherings and no one is turned away or leaves hungry. Butch worked in various construction and mechanical jobs and owned his own service state CJ’s at 9th and Main in Durant, making many loyal customers over the years and recently retired from O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. He was a hard worked and loved to keep his home, yard and garden just so-so or “the way PawPaw likes it” as the kids say. As an avid reader, Butch’s favorite was Old West novels he picked up at garage sales and flea markets and he loved studying about historical events. Butch was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Duke; father, Clarence D. Boucher; brother, Mike Boucher and great grandson, Blayden Ray. Butch is survived by his wife of 53 years, Regina of the home; children, Starla Price and husband Mike, Charles Dale Boucher and Shana Swinney; grandchildren, Bransen Duncan and wife Shellbie, Jessi Price, Chelsea and Carley Boucher, Dakota, Dalton and Lacee Swinney, Todd Davis and wife Crystal and Tiffinie Davis Hacker and husband Adam; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Boucher and wife Jody, Donnie Boucher, Dick Boucher and wife Kathy and Jack Boucher; brothers in law, William Buchanan and wife Betty, Carl P. Buchanan and wife Betty and John Buchanan and wife Barbara. Butch was loved by a large extended family of many loving nieces, nephews and close friends, who were often subject to his teasing and quirky sense of humor. He always had a joke and YOU just might be the brunt of his next joke. A celebration of Butch’s life will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Armstrong Baptist Church.
