With profound sadness and hearts full of love, we announce the passing of Danny Lynn Chaffin, who went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, Oklahoma Highway Patrolman, and servant of his community. More than anything, he was a man of faith, integrity, and unconditional love. He spent his life serving others, caring for his family, and making a difference in the lives of everyone, fortunate enough to know him. Known for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering compassion, he never met a stranger. He had a unique ability to make people feel valued and loved. Whether offering a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or simply listening, he gave freely of himself without expecting anything in return. His heart was truly made of gold. As an Oklahoma Highway Patrolman, he proudly dedicated his career to protecting and serving the people of Oklahoma. He wore the badge with honor and humility, earning the respect of fellow officers and community members alike. His commitment to doing what was right and helping those in need defined both his professional and personal life. He was also the hardest-working man many of us have ever known. He believed in the value of hard work, honesty, and perseverance. Through his actions, he taught those around him the importance of integrity, responsibility, and service to others. While he was respected by many, his greatest joy was always his family. He loved deeply and wholeheartedly. He was a constant source of strength, wisdom, encouragement, and support. His family knew they could always count on him, and his love was evident in every sacrifice he made and every moment he shared with those he cherished most. To his children, he was not only a father but also a hero, mentor, and best friend. His guidance, love, and unwavering belief in them will remain one of life’s greatest gifts. Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and the legacy he built through a life well lived. His example of faith, kindness, humility, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Johnna Lou Chaffin of Madill, his siblings, Charlotte and Victor Pate of Durant, Oklahoma, Steve and Jan Chaffin of Caddo, Oklahoma, Sherri and Kenny Owens of Kenefic, Oklahoma. His children, Summer and Eddie Pense of Mannsville, Oklahoma, Brian Deaver of Madill, Oklahoma, Michael and Tammy Imgarten of Sacramento, California and Regena Chaffin of Madill, Oklahoma. His grandchildren, Gage Deaver of Madill, Oklahoma, Bailey and Seth Coleman of Madill, Oklahoma, Trey Gammill of Davis, Oklahoma, Hayden Deaver of Madill, Oklahoma, Bryson Imgarten of Sacramento, California, and Eli Nichols of Calera, Oklahoma. Many loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olen and Bonnie Chaffin and his son, Jeremy Chaffin. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and all those who have shown love, support, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time.
