Funeral services for Donna Lynn (Ballard) Kirk, 64, of Silo, will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 5, in the Brown's Funeral Chapel with Pastor Renford Norris and Bro. Buddy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodbury Forest Cemetery, Madill, with the Honorable Farrell Hatch presiding at the committal services. Pallbearers will be Larry Ballard, John Slovak, John Ludwigs, Matt Slovak, Steven Smith, and Jimmy Ballard. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Kimberlin, Jerry Martin, Lynn Stedman, Ronnie Rawls, David Stone, Michael Mitchell, Justin Dobbs, and Charles Schweizer. Family hour will be Thursday evening from 6-7PM at the funeral home. Donna Lynn (Ballard) was born October 27, 1945 in Durant to John Dee Ballard and Helen (Walden) Ballard and passed from this life on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Durant. Donna married Robert H. Kirk on June 15, 1963 in Kingston. She worked as a Senior Account Administrator for Wachovia Securities, working in Dallas with the last thirteen years in Sherman before retirement. Donna and Robert have lived in Silo since 1997 and she is a member of the Silo Baptist Church. Donna enjoyed working, reading, crocheting, decorating crafts, birdwatching, loved singing, and was always organized. She loved being with her family and especially the grandchildren. Donna is preceded in death by her parents; sister Patricia Kay Ballard on April 13, 2001. She is survived by her husband Robert of almost 47 blessed years, daughters Dewanna Jean Slovak and husband John of Mesquite, TX, Sheri Donnell Ludwigs and husband John of Forney, TX; son Robert Dwayne Kirk and wife Bridget of Rockwall, TX; brothers Larry Wayne Ballard of Clinton and Jimmy Dan Ballard of Ft. Gibson; grandchildren Rachael Slovak Ruane, Amanda Medlyn, Matthew Slovak, Steven Smith, Lainey Smith, Stephanie Smith, and Brynnan Kirk; five great grandchildren, many relatives and good friends.
