Harvey William Edwards

Harvey William Edwards was born on January 3, 1968, to Brenda Golliher Cagle and Wilburn Edwards of Tennessee. Harvey passed away at his home in Mead, OK on August 31, 2024, at the age of 56. Harvey was a 1987 graduate of Milburn Schools and worked for Tishomingo Nursing Home during high school. After graduation, he married the love of his life, Teresa Cloyd on March 29, 1990, in Silo, OK and they began building their lives at their home in Mead. Harvey worked for Indian Nation Wholesale for many years before retiring due to health issues. Harvey loved to fish and could always tell you a whale of a tale, good fishing stories, and he loved to talk about the good times. He loved playing the drums and he played for several small groups, both gospel and country. He loved listening to the oldies, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, and Willie Nelson. His favorite hobby was spending time with his family and playing with his grandbabies. He had special names for all his babies. Gracie was his “Turkey Worky”, Hagen was “PaPa Boy Helper”, Waylon was “Way Way”, and Kasen was his “Butter Bean”. His family and his 4 grandchildren were his world. Harvey is preceded in death by his mother Brenda Golliher Cagle; brother Johnny Edwards; and sister Christi Cagle. Harvey’s memory will live on through his loving and devoted wife Teresa Edwards of the home; treasured children Scottie Edwards, Brittnie Roper and significant other Timothy Jennings all of Mead, OK; adored grandchildren Gracie Roper, Hagen, Waylon, and Kasen Jennings; his mother’s husband James Cagle of Milburn, OK; sister Melinda Cagle of Milburn, OK; brother William “Willy” Edwards and wife Lori of Jeffersonville, Ind; special uncle and aunt Gene and Diana Golliher of Spring City, TN along with a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday September 5, 2024, at Brown’s Funeral Service. Claudie Buie will officiate. Interment will follow in Silo Restland Cemetery with Jodie Edwards, Carl Barcheers, Mike Nelson, James Hamill, Todd Stanfield, Joe Reid, Tracey Walker, and Timothy Jennings serving as pallbearers.
