Jessie Dalrymple Sr.

Born to Fay Dalrymple and Ina Thompson, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 16, 1944. Jessie was the baby with four sisters and one brother and grew up around Jones Oklahoma. He passed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, January 9, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and one of hell of a friend to anyone worthy. In his passing he leaves Mary Nicholes, the mother of Sheila Webb and HFI Bryan Hayes. Jessie Jr. and wife Somatha Dalrymple. Jimmy and wife Kristy Dalrymple. Londa Sias, the mother of Nichole and Husband Matthew Goldman. Bobbie Sue Miller, the mother of Derral Meeks. Kimberly Miller. Dane Miller. With these seven kids he has 18 grand kids and 30 great grand kids. Sister, Wanda Wallace, and Brother Ronnie and wife Glenda Dalrymple. Also, a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. He is proceeded in death by, father, Fay Dalrymple, mother, Ina Dalrymple. Sisters, Twila Bennet, Retha Mobley, and Evelyn Graham Jessie never met a stranger and was quick to light up any room with smiles and fill it laughter. He always had a story to tell and once told be ready to hear it a few more times. This is one of his favorite past times, setting by a fire by any body of water or in the mountains with a cold beer in hand and just spending time talking. Jessie led a full and adventurous life and was part of more mischievous adventures than even he could remember. His life would have filled any book with page turning journeys that would grasp any reader. Like the time he put his car through a plate glass window of the Jones Ford Dealership on one of the show room models. This action was close to his father’s last straw and he got to spend the rest of that summer at a grapefruit farm down in South Texas. He held many jobs from, golf cart mechanic, roughneck, truck driver, carpenter, and line man. He defiantly gave jack of all trades a true classification. His love of the outdoors was beyond approach. He lived for hunting and fishing trips and loved to fill an ice chest with beer and ice and get as far away from the city he could. In his younger years he did spend a brief time in the ring, riding bareback in rodeos and was a decent golf player. He loved to find new hobbies and kept with fly tying, black smithing, wood working and collecting and working on guns. Most of these things were done while wearing a black cowboy hat. His life was so full that it is impossible to put everything here and this is not even the tip of the ice burg.
