Kevin Lynn Usry

Kevin Lynn Usry, of Durant, Oklahoma, left this earthly life on Thursday February 9, 2017 too soon at the age of 54. He was born on September 1, 1962 to Gerald and Jeannie Usry in Durant, Oklahoma. Kevin, father of four, loved his children and spending time with his family. He had an enthusiasm for fishing, and always had a smile when he had a fishing pole in his hands. Kevin enjoyed working outside and helping others. On Friday nights in the fall, you could hear Kevin cheering on the Durant Lions, and his boys on the field. Kevin loved watching his children play sports and was blessed enough to help coach them throughout their younger years. His children were his passion, and he enjoyed telling stories about how proud he was of them as they followed their dreams. Throughout the years, Kevin enjoyed working in the Aerospace industry, as a Supervisor and a machinist. He was preceded in death by his son, Devin Blake, whom he missed daily. Kevin was survived by his son Bryan Usry of Durant, Oklahoma; Bryce Usry of Durant; his daughter Cierra Usry of Newkirk, Oklahoma; his parents Gerald and Jeannie Usry of Durant; his brother Kendall Usry of Durant; his sister Cynthia Armor and husband Curtis of Durant; his brother Kyle Usry and wife Shaunda of Durant; his nephews Tyler Usry, Dylan Usry, Evan Armor, Matthew Usry and Tanner Davidson all of Durant; and his nieces Lauren Armor, Larissa Armor, Morgann Usry, Madison Usry and Trista Davidson all of Durant; and his great-niece Naomi Claire Usry of Durant. Funeral services will be held at Brown’s Funeral Service on Thursday, February 16, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Bill Ledbetter officiating. Family night will be held Wednesday, February 15 from 6:00 to 8:00. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with Kendell Usry, Kyle Usry, Curtis Armor, Tyler Usry, Evan Armor, Matthew Usry, Tanner Davidson and Brandon Wylie serving as pallbearers.
