Lillie Hobbs

Lillie Etta Stephens Hobbs entered this earthly life on February 9, 1947 in Durant, Oklahoma born to Paskle and Myrtle Gibson Stephens and entered her Heavenly Home on November 22, 2016 in Denison, Texas at the age of 69. Lillie married the love of her life Ray Hobbs on March 30, 1966. They were truly blessed with their family until Ray’s passing on April 28, 2007. Lillie retired from Durant Public Schools Cafeteria after many years and touching many children’s lives. Lillie continued to work at Nichols Dollar Saver until her health declined. Lillie was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed working in her yard and cooking. Lillie loved her roses, listening to Conway Twitty and her two dogs, Lucy and Rusty. But most of all she loved and treasured her family. Lillie is survived by her sons, Billy Hobbs of Mead, OK and Donald Hobbs and wife Kim of Sherman, TX; daughter, Sharon Hobbs of Durant, OK; grandchildren, Justin Hobbs, Kyle Hobbs, Dalton Farris, Kalyn Hobbs, Brittany Reed, Macey Hobbs, Makenzie Hobbs and Brooklyn Hobbs; great grandchildren, Landon Wells, Emmi Jaco and Chanse Farris; brothers, James and Gloria Stephens, Carl and Joann Stephens and Robert and Dorothy Stephens; sisters, Carolyn and Richard King, Robbie and Toby Nelson, Sharon and Ricky Pruitt, Donna St. Clair and Glenda Meadors; sister in law, Katy Stephens and numerous extended family and friends. Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Paskle and Myrtle Stephens; husband of 41 years Ray Hobbs; daughter, Angela Stephens; brother, Don Stephens; sister, Kay Hedrick and brother in law, Wayne Hedrick. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Kerry Groce will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Justin Hobbs, Kyle Hobbs, Dalton Farris, Robert Jaco, Mike Ritter, Glen Stephens and Terry Stephens serving as pallbearers.
