Lisa Ann Kilburn

Lisa “McWilliams” Kilburn entered this life on Saturday, January 4, 1969 in Durant, OK born to Jerry and Janet “Kistler” McWilliams and entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the age of 43 years, 1 month and 6 days. Lisa attended and graduated from Blue Public Schools and continued her education receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University 1997 and her Master’s from East Central State University in 2011. Lisa was a devoted special needs teacher for the Choctaw Public School system and later teaching terminally ill children in a hospital setting. Lisa married Tom Kilburn on June 22, 1991 at Blue Baptist Church. Lisa was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed painting, writing, shopping, traveling, tropical vacations and she was very passionate about rescuing unwanted and abused animals. Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents Lee and Maye McWilliams and Leonard and Nellie Kistler. Those loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband Tom Kilburn of the home; cherished children Dustin McWilliams and fiancé Kristen Lott of Denton, TX, Danielle and Madelyn Kilburn of the home; loving family, parents Jerry and Janet McWilliams of Blue, OK; sisters Valerie Aplin and husband Robert of Blue, OK and Erin Jackson of Durant, OK; father and mother in law Herb and Mary Jane Kilburn of Newcastle, OK; sisters in law Mary Anne Evans and husband Lewis of Harrah, OK, Sandy Cunningham and husband David of OKC, OK, Sharon Swyden of OKC, OK and Carol Card and husband Archie Jr. of OKC, OK; brothers in law Mike Kilburn of OKC, OK and Brian Kilburn and wife Shanna of Midwest City, OK, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and one grandchild on the way. Services to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Blue Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Bokchito Cemetery with Archie Card Jr., Brian Kilburn, Robert Aplin, Kyle Aplin, Mike Kilburn and Billy Blackburn serving as pallbearers.
