Margaret Blanche Roberts

Margaret Blanche Roberts was one of ten children born to Bennie Oran Morgan and Ruby Sunshine Morgan, on February 9th, 1930. She was preceded in death by both parents, 6 siblings, and leaves to cherish her memory 2 brothers, Billy Boyd Morgan and Jack David “JD” Morgan, and one sister, Mary Lou Bond. On November 12th, 1948, Blanche married Lester Elonzo Roberts. They built their lives together and had 6 children. Blanche left her earthly body on April 5th, 2017, to be reunited with Elonzo, her 2 daughters, Susan Gaylene Jackman, and Margaret Janise Wood, and son, Boyd Paul Roberts. She leaves behind 2 sons, Danny Lester Roberts and wife Darlene, and Roger Allen Roberts and Dian Bunch, and daughter, Sheila Roberts Perry. Blanche also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. While working and taking care of her children, Blanche earned her Bachelor’s degree as well as a Master’s degree in Education. She worked in the public education system for over 25 years before retiring. Blanche enjoyed weekends and summers with her grandchildren, reading a good book, bird watching, and puzzles of all kinds. She never turned down a chance to hang out with her sisters, go camping at the lake, and in her latter years, she enjoyed going to the casino with her friend, Wyva, being pampered by her provider and friend, Lee, as well as tending to and loving her fur babies, Poncho, Bubba, and JoJo. Family and friends have a lifetime of memories to cherish and she will be greatly missed. Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Margaret will be held Saturday, April 8th at 10:00 AM in the Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel with Brother Jimmy Jeter officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 7th from 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma with Stacey Wood, Bryan Jackman, Joshua Roberts, Caleb Roberts, Bryce Archey and Dustin Hamlin serving as pallbearers. Colton Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Mason Hamlin, and Conner Perry will serve as honorary pallbearers.
