Marian Louise Weibling

Mom Marian Louise Weibling passed from this earth on May 24, 2025, at the age of 64. She passed at her home in Caney, Oklahoma. Marian was born on April 6, 1961, in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Vanual and Nina Roberts. She married Earl Bryan Weibling on April 26, 1980. Marian and Bryan had two children, Steven and Sarah. They eventually moved to Oklahoma to raise their family. Marian stayed at home with the children until they went to school. She worked for Elder Care for several years as an aide, cooking and cleaning for the elderly. She then worked at Durant High School as a cook in the cafeteria and later transferred to child nutrition at Robert E Lee. She pursued her elementary education degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University while employed at Robert E Lee. In December of 1997, she received her bachelor’s degree from SOSU and began teaching at Caddo Elementary where over the years she taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and second grade until 2014 when she answered her calling to work in special education. She taught special education at Durant High School until she retired from the classroom in 2021. She then worked part time at Durant High School serving as the Lead Special Education Teacher, where she matched students with teachers based on their needs and as the veteran educator, provided guidance and assistance to the special education teachers. She remained in this position until her passing. Throughout her career, Marian was highly regarded by administrators, fellow teachers, staff and students. This was due to her outstanding work ethic, her passion for education and her genuine love and care for her students. Marian was an earnest, hard-working, selfless person who was content in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, deer hunting, going for walks across the pond dam, sitting with Bryan on their dock watching for fish and turtles, and reading her Bible and devotionals. Having a servant’s heart, Marian spent many years at Caddo First Baptist Church serving in children’s ministry including children’s church, AWANA and Vacation Bible School. She had great concern for those who were sick or hurting in any way. She often checked on and took meals to anyone going through a tough time. She was a wonderful wife, mother, nana, friend, and servant to her community and her Lord. Marian is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Velmar and Gladys Preslar, Uncle Richard Preslar, Uncle David Preslar and brother Steve Roberts. She is survived by her husband Bryan of the home, Son Steven Weibling of Mead, OK, Daughter Sarah Hoffman and husband Stewart of Durant, OK, grandson Kane Hoffman of Norman, OK, grandson Luke Weibling of Sioux Falls, SD, granddaughter Kira Hoffman of Durant, OK, brother-in-law Jeff Weibling and wife Carolyn of Silo, OK, nephew Steven Roberts of North Port, FL, nephew Paul Roberts and wife Nicole of Bradenton, FL, nephew Justin Roberts of Bradenton, FL, Aunt Gloria Koon and husband Ralph of Techumseh, MI, Uncle Mike Preslar of Inkster, MI, Aunt Sherry Garbacz and husband David of Ypsilanti, MI, great niece Rowyn Roberts of Northport, FL, great nephew Lucas Roberts of Northport, FL, great nephew Carson Powers of Bradenton, FL, great nephew Sloan Roberts of Bradenton, FL, as well as a host of cousins and good friends. Marian requested only a family hour be held. This will take place at Brown’s Funeral Home in Durant on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 3-5pm.
