Marty Wayne Hider

Marty W. Hider 61 years lived in Caddo Oklahoma Married to Laura (Stafford) Hider on 08/26/1978 in Caddo OK Died January 14th 2020 in Plano TX Lived most of his life in Bryan County He attended school in Calera, Durant, and graduated from Blue High School He was a Machinist and programmed CNC machines and could make almost anything anyone would need. He was employed at Aero Component Repair in Durant OK up until his heart condition prevented any further work. He was of the Baptist Faith His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping. His favorite was being the drummer at That Country Music Place. He was a talented musician and singer, like his father. He played with Country Explosion,Country Stardust, Uptown Country, Preston Brown's band, Oklahoma Country (with his Dad - Buck Hider), High Stakes, Rowdy Country, Laid Back Country, Border Town, and Ace in the Hole in addition to Too Long in the Saddle Band. His band played for Sammi Smith and in front bands before Mark Chestnut, John Conlee, Doug Stone, and others. He was a Committee Member and Chairman for a while for Troop 615 and helped with the Fireworks stand many years. He served as Councilmember and was a former Mayor in Caddo. He received an FFA Honorary Chapter member award. Preceded in Death by his parents: William Hider in 2019 and Joyce (Tucker) Hider, Nephew Bryan Robinson, Cousin Troy Holland Jr. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation either Heart or Lung division Survived by wife, Laura of the home, sons Austin & wife Kari, Christopher & wife Misty, grandsons Kaynon and Zayden Hider and Granddaughter Lorraine (Rainey) Hider Sister, Debbie Moses, husband Dale of Pottsboro TX, Brother Lonnie Hider, wife Christie of Bogata, TX Sister in Law, Billie Frances Robinson and husband Benny of Spokane, WA Special friend, Billy AlKhatib of Sherman, TX Nephews: Youseff AlKhatib and wife BreAnn of Howe, TX, Tarif AlKhatib and wife Courtney of Pottsboro, TX, Omar AlKhatib and wife Lindsey of Sherman, Will Hider of Bogata,TX, James Locke II of Colorado, James Walsh & wife Diane of Howe, TX, Keith Walsh & wife Becky of Caddo, OK, Glenn Walsh & wife MaryAnn of Mead, OK, neices: Kim O'Doherty & husband Sean of Spokane, WA and Emily Hider of Little Rock AR and Eva Marie Brown at large. A celebration of Marty’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant.
