Morgan Hinson-Purvis-Downs-Brewer went to be in God’s heavenly choir after a long battle with diabetes on Monday April 1, 2013 at the age of 32 years 6 months and 17 days. Morgan was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on Monday September 15, 1980 to Jimmie Nathan Hinson III and Jennifer Wiggins- Hinson-Purvis. After her father’s death and mother’s marriage she was adopted by Gerald Purvis. Morgan was a cosmetologist for over 10 years. Her clients and coworkers adored her and appreciated her talent. She loved Cross Canadian Ragweed, reading, singing, dancing, and keeping up with the latest style and bling. Her greatest pleasures came from spending time with her family, friends, her dog Booger, and going to her daughter Ashton’s activities. Morgan realized many of her dreams which were being a mother to Ashton and step son Trey, wife to Rick and in a profession she loved. Morgan was preceded in death by, Jimmie Nathan Hinson III, Dorthy Jean Hinson, Jimmie Nathan Hinson II, McNeal Purvis, Loriene Purvis, and Todd Purvis. She is survived by her mother and father Jennifer and Gerald Purvis of Durant, Oklahoma;husband Ricky Brewer of Colbert, Oklahoma; daughter Ashton Downs of Denison, Texas; step son Trey Brewer of Denison, Texas; sisters Kristi Burkhalter and spouse Cory of Calera, Oklahoma, Sophia Axelsson of Gotenburg, Sweden; Nieces Taylor Winnett and spouse Matt of Denison, Texas, Lauren Burkhalter of Pottsborro, Texas; nephews Keilen Burkhalter of Calera, Oklahoma, Cooper Burkhalter of Calera, Oklahoma. Memorial Services to celebrate the life of Morgan will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Brown’s Funeral Service Durant with Dr. David Kirkbride officiating. Keepers of the urn are Buddy Faulkner, Duane Merideth, Frank Deal, and John Jackson. Honoraries are Trey Brewer, Keilen Burkhalter, and Cooper Burkhalter.
