Patricia (Patsy) Ann Sherefield

Patricia (Patsy) Ann Sherefield, age 74, of Bennington, Oklahoma passed away on December 22, 2025, in Bennington, Oklahoma. Patsy was born on February 16, 1951, in Jackson, Oklahoma to the late Arvel Allen Daniels and Jalasca Mae Sample. Patsy graduated from Bennington High School and later married Donnie Sherefield on July 30, 1971, in Durant, Oklahoma. They made their home in Bennington and began their journey together that lasted 53 years until Donnie’s passing in 2024. To this union were born two daughters, Lisa and Angela. Patsy was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She was of the Baptist faith. Patsy was an amazing mother and Nanny. She loved her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. It brought her such joy spending time with them. Patsy also loved to cook for her family and did it as often as she could. She organized the Bennington Homecoming every July for over 20 years. Patsy also enjoyed working the elections at Bennington. She loved all of her cats and dogs and always came up with special names for each of them. Patsy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents Arvel Allen Daniels and Jalasca Mae Sample, step-father; Loyd Sample, husband; Donnie Sherefield, sister; Jan Johnson, brother; Jimmy Daniels, nephews; Gary Dale Powell and Justin Daniels. Patsy is survived by her loving children; Lisa Sherefield of the home and Angela Jackson of Colbert, OK; grandchildren Hunter Pahlon of Bennington, OK, Whitney Jackson of Davis, OK, and Luke Jackson of Bokchito, OK; great grandchildren Kreek Grissom and Tripp Pahlon. A visitation for Patsy will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service chapel in Durant, OK. A funeral service for Patsy will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Brown’s Funeral Service chapel in Durant, OK, with Roger Speers officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Todd Andrews, Chad Andrews, Chase Andrews, Duke Kirk, and Casey O’Dell. Honorary pallbearers are Steve French, Jim Sullivan, Roger Curtis, Steve Powell, Shiloh Poole, and Russell Sherefield. Burial will take place at a later date with the family. Services are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
