Services to celebrate the life of Pearl Noel, 90, of Durant who passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Medical Center of SE OK will be held on Monday, March 22nd, 10:00 AM at Brown’s Funeral Service, Chapel. Bro. Andy Hanson will officiate. Pearl was born on September 11, 1919 in Atoka, OK to Riley M. and Minnie Mae (Trimmer) Withrow. She attended and graduated from Atoka School and was a member of the State Basketball Team her Senior Year. She married Cash Noel Jr. on January 21, 1940 in Atoka and they were blessed with 69 wonderful years together. She along with Cash Jr. worked in the furniture and auctioneering business for many years. She was a devoted Christian and Sunday School Teacher and she enjoyed gardening, helping people but her greatest joy was her family. Pearl will be dearly missed by all who knew and dearly loved her. Pearl was preceded in death by her life long love, Cash Noel Jr. parents, Riley and Minnie Mae Withrow; grandson, Ricky Rowland; great grandson, Mason Cuesta; and brothers and sisters, Clyde Withrow, Pauline Uber, Stella Jackson and Birdie Granger. Those loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Dan Noel and wife Judy and Jennie Rowland and husband Lenord all of Durant; grandchildren, Jeff Noel and wife Sheron of Durant, Nick Noel of Norman, OK, Sarah Noel of Durant Gary Rowland and wife Kathy of Corpus Christi, TX, Brenda Porterfield of Cartwright and Peggy Cuesta and husband Jay of Durant; sisters, Dorothy Lewis of Rio Linda, CA and Wilma Graham of Atoka; 9 great grandchildren and many dear friends. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with Jeff Noel, Nick Noel, Sarah Noel, Jonathon Graham, Jay Cuesta and Ron Poindexter serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Fairview Baptist Church in Durant.
