Randy Dodson

A Celebration of Life for Randy Dodson, 58, of Durant who passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at his home will be held on Saturday, January 16th, 10:00 AM at Victory Life Church in Boswell, Oklahoma. Pastor Jan Lee will officiate with Mark Ribera assisting. Burial will follow at Boswell Cemetery with Kevin Ribera, Kevin Keener, Jesse Lewis, Billy Gilliland, Jack James and Shawnee Berryhill serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Victory Life Church in Boswell on Friday from 6-8 PM. Randy was the second child born to Ward and Gerry (DeSpain) Dodson on January 3, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK. Randy attended and graduated from Boswell Schools and worked as a construction contractor, farmer, rancher, and in real estate. His son described him as a “Jack of all trades”. Randy married Susan Lee on June 2, 1974 in Boswell and they were blessed with three adored children. Randy was a member of Victory Life Church and he enjoyed singing and spending time with his grandchildren at their cabin. Randy was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Randy will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly love him. Randy was preceded in death by his grandson, Jamus Randall Lankford. Those loved ones left behind to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 35 plus years, Susan Dodson of the home; children, Kristy Lankford and husband Larry of Boswell, Joe Dodson and wife Hannah of Oklahoma City and Annie Dodson and significant other Justin Kilpatrick of Durant; parents, Ward and Gerry Dodson of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Clay “Claydough” Lankford, Larra “Curly” Lankford, Lindy “Loopy” Lankford, Gabriel “Paco” Lankford, Noah “Leroy” Dodson and Maya “Cowgirl Rooster” Dodson; sister, Gail Cheek and husband Bob of Broken Bow; brother, Douglas Dodson; and numerous other relatives and a host of dear and loved friends.
