Robert "Bob" Kent Marcho

Robert “Bob” Kent Marcho entered this life on April 16, 1943 in Santa Monica, California born to Marvin Leroy and Anita “Pearl” Irby Marcho and entered into eternal rest with his Heavenly Father on June 2, 2015 in Denison, Texas at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 17 days. Robert graduated from Artesia High School in Artesia, CA and continued his education at San Diego State University, Whites Ferry Road School of Preaching, Abilene Christian University and received his Doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary in Fullerton, CA and Abilene Christian University. Robert married Alvadean Mashburn on January 15, 1969 in Reno, NV and have been truly blessed with 46 years together. Robert loved teaching and devoted his life to helping and mentoring young people through education. Robert and Alvadean were devoted and loyal members of the Northwest Church of Christ in Durant and in his spare time he enjoyed race cars, fishing, playing golf, running and cycling but most of all he treasured his family especially his grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother in law, Hank Gamboa; father in law, Fred Mashburn; brother in law, Joe Mashburn and sister in law, Diana Mashburn. Robert is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Alvadean Marcho of the home; children, Chris Marcho of California, Craig Marcho and wife Stephanie of Saginaw, TX, Carrie Sullivan and husband Randal of Eufaula, OK and Amy Fulcher and husband Aubrey of Clyde, TX; grandchildren, Emily and Claire Marcho, Cooper, Conner and Hannah Sullivan, Morgan, Cole and Caden Fulcher; sister, Susan Gamboa; mother in law, Bette Jo Mashburn; brothers in law, Randy Mashburn and wife Paula Jean and Fred Mashburn III and wife Charlotte and numerous extended family and friends. A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Northwest Church of Christ in Durant, OK. Ian Fair will officiate. A private family interment will follow at a later date. The family requests memorials be made to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
