Shirley Emma Vansickle

Shirley Emma Vansickle of Boswell, Oklahoma entered this life on Tuesday, May 29, 1945 in Dallas, Texas born to Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Shafer) Brown and passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at her home at the age of 66 years, 4 months and 10 days. Shirley attended and graduated from Irving, Texas High School and moved to Choctaw County in 1978 from Houston, Texas. She worked for Golden Peanut Company in Durant and retired after 25 years to her country home. She enjoyed baking, cooking, cross stitching, reading, camping, watching the Texas Rangers and she adored country living. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and dear friends. Shirley is survived by her daughters Jana Albracht and husband Jack of Pampa, TX and Rene Tyre and husband Barry of Mansfield, TX; brother Tommy Brown and wife Judi of Mesquite, TX; sisters Joyce Hampton of Boswell and Alberta Pearson of Luthersville, GA; grandchildren Sara Dyess and husband Chase, Jorda Trahan and husband Rustin, Brenna Albracht, Matthew Albracht, Taylor Tyre, Kirsti Spratt, Chase Tyre and Dallas Tyre; great grandchildren Cooper Trahan, Jack Dyess, Peyton Owens and identical twin grandsons due in January; special friend Hulen Raney of Bennington, OK; and numerous other relatives and extended family. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mary Elizabeth Brown and son Eddie Earl Spratt Jr. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Jude Catholic Church in Boswell with Father Joseph Chirayath officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery with Antonio Rubio, Matthew Albracht, Jack Albracht, Barry Tyre, Buck Webb, Bryan Underwood and Clinton Raney serving as pallbearers.
