Stan White

Stanley (Stan) White entered this life on June 14, 1957 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Stan went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 4, 2016 in Mesquite, TX at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 21 days. Stan graduated from Durant High School and received his Bachelors degree form Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He was a safety coordinator and a member of Sigma Tau Fraternity and also a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Durant. Stan was actively involved with his fraternity and church. He was very diligent when it came to learning and continuing his education. His life revolved around family, friends, the Lord, church and work. He was always there to lend a helping hand. Stan also enjoyed playing Golf, and watching sports especially Oklahoma Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Ollie and Robert Damron; sister, Leslie Carol Burgess; step-father, Robert McCraw; Aunt Bobby Clark; and Uncle Mel Damron Stan is survived by his mother, Patsy McCraw of Durant; daughters, Brittany Peery and husband Scotty of Marietta, and Courtney Petty of Durant; grandsons, Triston Peery and Sawyer Peery, both of Marietta; uncle Loren Damron and his wife Pat of Kingston; niece, Angela Burgess of Arlington, TX; nephews, Daniel Burgess of Durant, and Terry Burgess and wife, Susanna of San Francisco, CA; great niece, Olivia Moreno of Arlington, TX; great-nephew, Alex Burgess of Antlers; and special friend Jacqueline Tourville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 8, 2016 at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 7 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
