Betty Jean Menifee

June 1, 1956 - March 3, 2022

Betty Jean Menifee took wings and entered the Gates of Heaven on March 3, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK. Betty entered this life on June 1, 1956, in Fresno, California. Raised in Atoka County, Betty graduated from Stringtown High School and worked as a CNA at the Ardmore Veterans Center until her retirement. She was married to Lonnie Ray Qualls, and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2016. Betty started her Christian journey at a early age at St. Matthews Baptist Church where she was baptized and accepted Christ. She was an active member of First Missionary Baptist Church and she enjoyed family time, watching the Saints football team, cooking, playing dominoes and being with friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Emma Gardner; biological father Leroy Menifee; husband Lonnie Qualls and sister Peggy Walton. Betty is survived by sisters Debra Menifee and Patricia Gardner; brothers Harvey Gardner, Steve Gardner and wife Michelle and Ronnie Gardner and wife Cassie; children Kelly Menifee, Donald (Ray) Bowens and wife Phatima, Willie (Boo) Menifee, Tiffany Jordan, Lonnie Hennesey and wife Cento, LaQuasha Bucks and husband Reggie and Tara Qualls; sisters Jennifer Watson and Brenda Watson; grandchildren Chandra, K’von, Taleah, Taniya, Kiana, Kiyah, Kellil, Sedrick, Javion, Jaylea, Nia, Pheobe, Justice, Jaziyn, Jada, Gereall, Dekevis, Cincere, Caniya, Quintin, Quintasia, Leemontye, Alontae, Deyonce, Nassia, Quincy and Tiona; great grandchildren Kaydence, Adrian and Corey (Bam) and numerous extended family and friends. A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Madill First Baptist Church. Pastor Bobby Davis and Pastor Sam Huff will officiate. Interment will follow in the Old Madill Cemetery with Randy Morris, Bill Perry, Eric Andrews, Stacy Menifee, Alvin Brown, Devante Menifee and Daimeon Davis serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home in Madill on Friday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
