Jay Wilmuth

May 16, 1968 - May 2, 2022

Kingston, OK- Darrel Jay Wilmuth was born Thursday, May 16th, 1968 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Arvil Gary Wilmuth and Martha (Cantrell-Poole) Wilmuth. He passed from this life on Monday, May 2nd, 2022 in Madill, Oklahoma at the age of 53. Jay grew up in Ada at a young age and lived in Montana and El Reno, Oklahoma graduating from El Reno High School. Jay worked in the oilfield early in his career. He would soon earn his CDL and drive a truck for Darrell Thomason Trucking in Broken Bow for several years. Jay worked the past thirteen years for Dolese Concrete Company where he was a batchman/dispatcher. Jay’s family was very important to him and his grandbabies are his world. He enjoyed grilling and is a huge Oklahoma Sooners Football fan. His family can tell you he lived for Sooners football. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Texas Rangers. Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Wilmuth; and brother, Robert Wilmuth. He is survived by his loving wife, Angie, of the home; son, Brandon Wilmuth and his fiancé, Ashten, of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Kayla Bruner and her husband, Kyle, of Kingston, OK, and their kids, Kylie and Braelynn; father, Gary Wilmuth of Kingston, OK; sisters, Cindy Smith and her husband, David, of Yukon, OK, and Judy Young of Oklahoma City, OK; nephews, David Smith and wife, Heather, and Brad Smith; parents-in-law, Tom and Joan Stone; brother-in-law, Clint Stone and his wife, Shannon Claire; and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and close friends. A memorial service to celebrate Jay’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 7th, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel in Durant.
