Jimmy Ray Hodge

February 15, 1935 - February 9, 2022

Lifetime Caddo resident Jimmy Ray Hodge passed away on February 9, 2022, in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 86. His parents, Joe and Etta Hodge moved from Ft. Payne, Alabama and settled west of Caddo in 1925. They raised nine children; Jimmy was the youngest. He married Royce Alberta (Littleton) Hodge on December 19, 1955, in Caddo. Jimmy worked at Durant Kimball Feed for 38 years. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Blue River Fellowship in Durant. Jimmy loved spending time with family and playing dominos. Jimmy is survived by his children, Shirley Vandenburg and husband Don of Caddo, OK, Dewayne Hodge and wife Melinda of Durant, OK, David Hodge and wife Carol of Caddo, OK, Keven Hodge and wife Belva of Durant, OK, Charles Hodge and wife Sheri of Denison, TX, and Rex Hodge and wife Jeffri of Caddo, OK; sisters in law Ada Ella Hodge of Caddo, OK and Joyce Littleton of Atoka, OK; grandchildren Brandon Vandenburg, Cody Vandenburg and wife Lisa, Chelsea Noland, Stephanie Gardner and husband Michael, Brian Hodge and wife Angie, Melissa Hairrell, Chance Hodge wife Ashley, Darren Hodge, Zac Hodge, Amanda Crow, Alicia Crow, Brittany Davis and husband Daniel, Ronnie Harvey, Chaz Hodge, Katherine Hodge, Faith Hodge, Chloe Hodge and Ashlyn Hodge; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by Royce, his wife of almost 55 years; daughter Raylene Harvey; parents Joe and Etta Hodge; stepmother Rae Deason; brothers Lois Hodge and wife Birdie, Loyd Hodge and wife Cordella, Johnnie Hodge, and Floyd Hodge and wife Bonnie; sisters Flora Eslick and husband George, Della Pearson and husband Otis, Nellie Anderson and husband Daniel, and Edna Hampton and husband Travis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Brown’s Durant Funeral Service Chapel. Bro Anthony Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in High Hill Cemetery in Atoka County with Brandon Vandenburg, Cody Vandenburg, Brian Hodge, Chance Hodge, Darren Hodge, Zac Hodge, and Chaz Hodge serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
