Mary Ester Ballard

June 12, 1952 - January 31, 2022

Mary Ester (Oliva) Ballard was born on June 12, 1952, in Lott, TX to Leandro and Sara (Suniga) Oliva. Mary passed away on January 31, 2022, in Durant, OK at the age of 69. Mary graduated from Lott High School and later married Terry Ballard on August 14, 1980, in Irving, TX. She worked in the banking industry for many years until her retirement. She was member of the missionettes, and she enjoyed reading, collecting baskets and angels. Mary loved her family and friends deeply and she will be greatly missed. Mary is survived by her husband Terry Ballard of the home; children Rebecca Roe and husband Maxwell and William Lee Ballard; sisters Delia Oliva and Gina Ruiz; grandchildren Kiali, Nathan and Jeremiah; nieces Cynthia Lopez and Maria Gonzalez; nephew Michael Ray; great nieces and nephews Hector Lopez, Giovanni Pomales, Monica Pomales, Luis Rodriguez, Ariana Gonzalez and Amaris Gonzalez and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Nida, OK with William Walker, Luis Rodriquez, William Ballard and Terry Ballard serving as pallbearers.
