Opal Murriel (Stallings) Albright passed away peacefully in her home with family on Saturday May 23, 2020. Private graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, OK. Officiating will be Layne Heitz, minister of the Durant Church of Christ. Opal was born at Albany, OK on October 16, 1925. Her parents were Thomas Melton (Doc) and Mary Elizabeth (McLain) Stallings. She was the 3rd of 11 children. She married her childhood sweetheart Joe Lee Albright May 13, 1944 at Caddo, OK. They were married almost 59 years and resided most of these years in Calera, OK where they raised their five children. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Albright is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Sondra and Jimmy Grace of Colbert, OK, Annabeth and Carl Wayne Phillips of Bennington, OK and Paula and Larry Wills of Durant, OK. Sons and daughters-in-law Joe and Judy Albright of Henryetta, OK, Billy and Terri Albright of Durant, OK. Also her dedicated and loving caregiver of 13 years Becky Lamar, Calera, OK. Surviving is her brother and sister-in-law Dalton and Glenna Stallings of Calera, OK, and sisters Betty June Hefner of Springfield, OR., Carolyn Aguilar of Denison, TX., Marilyn Thompson of Durant, OK., sister-in-law Joan Stallings of Durant, OK. , sister-in-law Ada McCarley of Shreveport, LA., 25 Grandchildren, 40 Great grandchildren, and 11 Great great-grandchildren. She had such a love for her family and enjoyed visits from her grands and greats. Special memories include her yearly birthday celebration with family and friends and holiday gatherings which were very important to her. Preceding Mrs. Albright in death was her husband Joe Lee Albright, her parents T.M. and Mary Stallings, Granddaughter Sharon (McCraw) Burton, Sisters El Wanda Moss, Joyce Evelyn Williams, Emogene Sullivan, Janice Jane Haworth and brothers Tom M. Stallings and John McLain (Mack) Stallings. Pallbearers will be grandsons B.J. Albright, Timothy Albright, Morgan Grace, Cody Phillips, Wayne Phillips and Matt Rizzo. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Nathan Grace, Michael Grace, Kevin McCraw, Bret Cranford and Kenneth Adair. The family would like to express their appreciation to Victory Hospice – Marcie, Mikayla, Teresa, Lois and Lynsi - and Texoma Care of Durant – Dr. Jason Squires and Dr. Monica Woodall, for their loving care the past 2 months. Mrs. Albright always said give me flowers while I’m living, so in lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Albright’s name may be made to the Durant Church of Christ Building Fund.
