Rod Pittman

Madill, OK- Roderic Lynn Pittman was born August 6th, 1954 in Bryan, Texas to Donald F. Pittman and Loretta J. (Skaggs) Pittman. He passed from this life on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 in Madill at the age of 67. Rod attended Fox Schools in Arnold, Missouri, before relocating with his family to Hawaii where he graduated high school. Rod worked at a lighting business that sold light fixtures and designer chandeliers in Georgia. He was a truck driver and then a bus driver for INCA Community Services in Madill for several years. He managed the Saddle Club and later had his own lawn service business. Rod was a collector of different types of guns. He loved being outdoors, and going out and shooting when he could. He enjoyed listening to all types of classic rock & roll songs and classic country music. Rod also enjoyed getting a good laugh as he was watching the Three Stooges on television. He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Pittman, on January 13, 2021; and his son, Christopher Lee Pittman. Rod is survived by his son, Donnie Lynn Pittman of Atlanta, GA; father, Don Pittman of Madill, OK; brother, Randy Pittman of Madill, OK; sister, Tammie Ritchie and husband, Steve, of Madill, OK; niece, Christina Ettredge and husband, Jason; nephews, Thomas Pittman and wife, Amber, Chase Pittman, Joseph Barnes and Jacob Ritchie and wife, Drake; and many cousins, extended family and good friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, Feb. 8th, at Brown’s Funeral Service chapel in Madill with Pastor Randy Kendrix officiating. Committal services will follow at Kingston Cemetery with Jason Ettredge, Jacob Ritchie, Randy Pittman, Steve Ritchie, Thomas Pittman and Chase Pittman, serving as casket bearers.
