Sally Jo Shannon-Hildebran Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sally Jo Shannon-Hildebran joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on July 24, 2022, at the age of 83. Sally was born on March 30, 1939, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to parents Lester and Geneva (Crawford) Matthews. After graduating high school, she married Joe Wayne Shannon two days later and they began their lives together raising two sons, Jeff, and David. After the death of Joe, Sally married John Hildebran who precedes her in death. Sally was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church in Madill and was a member of the Baptist Association Disaster Relief organization. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, sewing, and she treasured her time she spent with family and friends. Sally is preceded in death by her parents Lester and Geneva Matthews; husbands Joe Wayne Shannon and John Hildebran; brother Gene Matthews and sister Helen Baldwin. Sally is survived by her sons Jeff Shannon and David Shannon; grandchildren Keegan Shannon and Patrick Shannon and wife Karla; one great grandson and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 29, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church in Kingston, OK. Bro Elmer Whitehead will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9-10 AM prior to the service. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Muskogee next to her husband Joe.
