Sam Carlton

August 8, 1938 - November 23, 2020

Sam Carlton, age 82, passed away on November 23, 2020. He was born to Jake and Ollie Hewitt on August 8, 1938, in Seminole, OK. Sam married his wife Marie on December 27th, 1992 in Bellingham Washington. In 2008 they moved from Kansas to Bryan county. He was a member of Cobb Baptist Church. He enjoyed leatherworking, hunting, and fishing. Sam was proud to have served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957 and he fought in the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his mother Ollie Molliter, his brothers Danny and John Hewitt, his stepdad Jake Hewitt and his stepson James Padilla. Sam is survived by his wife of the home Marie Carlton, his stepson Mark Padilla and wife Susie of Cheyenne, WY, stepdaughter Cindy Martinez and husband Neal of Rawlins, WY, stepson Christopher Padilla of Columbus, OH, daughter Misty Carlton of North Plate, NB, son Robin Carlton of North Plate, NB, grandson Jacob Padilla and wife Rebekah of Cheyanne, WY, grandson James Padilla of Cheyenne, WY, granddaughter Felicia Cadelairo and husband Rich of Cheyenne WY, granddaughter Deneil Hawes of Rawlins, WY and granddaughter Amanda Barto and husband Joe of Cheyenne, WY. As well as six great-grandkids all in Wyoming. The family is hosting a celebration of life at Cobb Baptist Church Monday, November 30, 202 at 2:00 PM.
