William Eugene "Bill" Paddock Jr.

September 20, 1949 - June 19, 2020

William Eugene “Bill” Paddock Jr of Durant passed away on June 19, 2020 in Dallas, at the age of 70. He was born on September 20, 1949 in Durant to William Eugene Paddock Sr. and Billie Ann White. A lifetime resident of Bryan County, William was a 1967 graduate of Caddo High School. He went on to further his education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he earned a triple masters degree in Biology, History, and Political Science. After his time at Southeastern he received a Laboratory Technician Degree and Master Laboratory Technician license from Grayson County College. He married Shirley Ann Morriss on April 17, 1970 in Durant, the couple shared over 50 years together. William was a Master Laboratory Technician for the Durant Hospital and Chickasaw Nation. He was also a Teacher of History and Biology at Bennington High School. He was a member of the TKE Fraternity and taught Sunday school at Stonecreek Baptist Church for many years but was most recently a member of Silo Baptist Church. His hobbies included; fishing, gardening, and taking care of his dogs, chickens, geese, goats, and donkey. He is preceded in death by his father, William Eugene Paddock Sr. Survivors include his wife Shirley Ann Morriss- Paddock of Durant; son, Eric Paddock and wife Amanda of Durant; sister, Deb Smith of Durant; mother, Billie Ann White – Paddock; brother James Padock of Armstrong and lots of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. There will be no services as his wishes were to be cremated and have his ashes spread at his favorite fishing spot. Cremation services are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
