Carrol Eugene Roberts

Carrol Eugene Roberts entered this life on July 10, 1934. He was born to Bruce and Euphia Mae “Bill” (Roach) Roberts in Durant, OK. Carrol went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 23, 2017 in Durant, OK at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 13 days. Carrol attended Durant High School, and was a proud member of the class of 1952. He then went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK. Carrol worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement 35 years later. He also serviced his country in the United States Army while earning a medal as well as qualifying as a Sharpshooter with his weapon. Carrol was a member of the Durant Elks and Masonic Lodges, and an active board member of CASA. Carrol was a believer and worshiped at the 7th and Beech Church of Christ here in Durant. He enjoyed building houses, watching Fox News and watching Youtube on his IPAD, he loved having coffee with his friends at various places, he loved eating his favorite candy and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he was also a very good teller of stories, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Carrol will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceding him in death are his parents Bruce and Euphia Mae “Bill” Roberts, brothers Jim and Bud Roberts. Carrol is survived by his loving wife Faye of the home, daughters, Betsy Clark and husband James of Caddo, OK, Jill Dills and husband Greg of Durant, OK; son, Brad and wife Tara of Madill OK; sisters, Joyce Keithley of Durant, OK, Linda Andis and husband CB of Durant, OK, Jane Lewis and husband Sydney of Durant, OK; brothers, David and wife Gerry of Poteau, OK, Jon and wife Dianne of Durant, OK; grand-daugthers, Sara McMichael, Lauren McMichael, Keely Nunnally and husband Jonathan, Krista Walker and husband Aaron, Kendra Clark, Emily Conley and husband Kyle, and Emma Roberts; grandsons, Aaron Dills and wife Lynsey, and Trevor Raper; great- grandchildren, Gage Harwood, Cade Nunnally, Gavin Harwood, Katherine Nunnally, Wyatt Conley, and numerous other family, friends and loved ones. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the 7th and Beech Church of Christ in Durant, OK, with Lane Heitz and John Curtis officiating. Aaron Dills, Chase Condor, Clay Lewis, Kyle Conley, Jonathan Nunnally and Trevor Raper will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends on June 27, 2017 in the Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM for Family Hour.
