Danny Marshall Jackson

Danny Marshall Jackson of Bennington, Oklahoma and formerly of Irving, Texas passed from this life on March 1, 2015 at his home at the age of 56 years, 9 months and 3 days. Danny was born on May 26, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to William Marshall and Dorothy Dale (Skidmore) Jackson. Danny married Leola Gardner on September 29, 1992. Danny graduated from Nimitz High School in Irving and later moved to Bryan County in 1991. Danny worked in the paint and drywall business for many years. He was of the Baptist Faith and he enjoyed fishing, squirrel hunting, gardening and spending time with his babies. He truly cherished and loved his family deeply. Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Mae Jackson and Jessie and Bonnie June Skidmore; sister, Pamala Jackson; mother in law, Barbara Gardner; daughter, Keysha Minyard and granddaughter, Kali Minyard Danny is survived by his loving wife, Leola Jackson of home; parents, Marshall and Dorothy Jackson; daughters, Holly Jackson of Bennington, Amber Brese of Bennington, Jennifer Bohanan and husband Eli of Bokchito and son in law, Willie Minyard; sister, Kelli Wingfield and husband Andy; brothers, Paul Jackson, Brent Jackson and wife Shannon and Cory Jackson; father in law, Harold Gardner; grandchildren, Patrick Marshall, Mason Lee, Madison Ann, Hunter Ray, Malori Lynn, Rowdy David, Preston “PJ” James, Danni Jo, Garrett Wayne, McKenlee Ranae and Dixie Margrett ; 18 nieces and nephews and a large group of extended family and friends that he loved dearly. A celebration of Danny’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2015 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Phillip Rowland officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Cemetery with Brandon Johnson, Andrew Wingfield, Richard Gurley, Billy Dacus, Kenny Goforth, Dakota Jackson, Ronnie Poole and Brian Jackson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Curtis, Melvin Dosh, Buddy Jackson, Freddie Jackson, Jesse Jackson and Harold Gardner.
