Jesse Tresmon Glover

Jesse Tresmon Glover 85, of Cumberland Cove was born on April 17, 1924 in Floyd County, Texas to Jessie Daniel and Bessie Bird (Hatley) Glover and died on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Jesse married Jeanette Keathley on December 17, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jesse was previously married to Kathleen Glover for eighteen years, they had one son, Barry. Jesse was a corporal in the United States Marine Corps serving our country from 1944 to 1946 in the Pacific Theater. He was a tank mechanic and a rifle expert. Jesse worked as a supervisor for Pioneer Natural Gas Company in Amarillo and Plainview, Texas for over 37 years and then came to Cumberland Cove after retirement in 1984. He had great woodworking skills and he made special projects for all the grandkids. He was a very avid hunter and enjoyed drinking coffee with his buddies at the coffee shop. Jesse was quite proud of the fact that he had recently mastered the art of “text messaging”! Jesse had a passion for music and he loved to help son Barry and granddaughter Lindsey and delighted in their musical achievements. He has driven Lindsey countless miles for singing engagements. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Emma Grace Sprowls. Survivors include his wife Jan; son Barry Glover and wife Lucy of Baldwin City, Kansas, granddaughter, Lindsey Nickole Delk of Durant and stepdaughter Cammy McCoy and husband Michael of Granbury, Texas; stepsons, Yogi Delk and wife Denise of Marlow, OK and Nick Sprowls and wife Julie of Rockwall, Texas; grandchildren, Daniel and Claire Glover, Caitlyn and Colton McCoy, Jude Sprowls, and Freddy Delk; a sister, Juaneal Krambeck and husband Phil of Denison, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A family visitation was held Monday, November 30, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service, Durant.
