Keith Hill

Keith Hill known to all as “Pappa Keith” entered this life on February 16, 1940 in Okemah, Oklahoma born to Melvin and Cecil (Smith) Hill and was called home to be with Jesus on May 10, 2013 at the age of 73 years, 2 months and 24 days. Keith attended and graduated from Okemah High School and later married Mary Frances Hill on December 7, 1970 in Moore, Oklahoma. They moved to their home in Calera where they have resided for 40 years. Keith worked and retired from the State of Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division. Keith devoted his time to the Calera Volunteer Fire Dept. and retired after 22 years of service and he was the Emergency Management Coordinator for the city of Calera for many years. Keith was a loyal and dedicated member the New Life Assembly of God Church in Calera since 1987 starting the Church in the living room of his home. He enjoyed reading his bible, fishing, storm spotting, but the greatest joy in his life was his Lord Jesus Christ and his Family. Keith was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Ann Vest. Keith is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 plus years, Frances Hill of the home; daughter, Regina Towne and husband chuck of Prosper, TX; son, Greg Nunn of Florida; Keith’s sons, Ken, Kevin and David; grandchildren, Tiffany and Aaron Towne, Jonathon, David, Victoria and Brooklyne Nunn; brother in law, Bob Hill and wife Sue; nieces, DeVonna Landrum and husband Ron, Alana Hill, Karie Hill and many wonderful friends. Services to celebrate Keith’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Calera. Rev. David Sanders will officiate with Rev. Lonnie Donaldson and Rev. Stephen Biggerstaff assisting. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Travis Huffman, Daryl Hart, Harold Anders, Joe Bridges, Carl Stevens and Lester Ames serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Susan G.
