Funeral services for Kolton Allan Smith age 10, of Bokchito, will be Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Victory Life Church, Durant with Pastor Duane Sheriff officiating. Kolton will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Durant. Casketbearers for Kolton will be Ryan Carr, Gary Powell, Blake Smith, Chris Hart, Lee Hamill, and Johnny Jacobs. Honorary casketbearer will be Jason Andrews. Family visitation will be Monday night from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Kolton was born on September 9, 1999 in Denison, Texas to Steven Dale and Alana Christine (Jacobs) Smith and was taken from this life and placed in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday afternoon, January 13, 2010. Kolton was former student at Washington Irving Elementary, Durant and was a fourth grader at Rock Creek Elementary. He was involved in the 4-H club and was in the Gifted and Talented program. Kolton had a passionate love for his Savior Jesus Christ and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, video games, reading, building and creating with Legos, K-nex and bionicles, 4-wheeling, and paintballing. Kolton was preceded in death by a great grandfather Jim Jacobs, great grandparents Wesley and Helen Barnhill, Hack and Katherine McGee, uncle Leroy Allen and aunt Penny Smith. He is survived by his parents Steve and Alana Smith, sister Kaleigh Smith of the home; paternal grandmother Shirley Kay Redfern of Blue, maternal grandparents Allan Jacobs and wife Judy of Denison, maternal great grandmother Mildred Jacobs of Sherman; uncles Tommy Allen and wife Diannia of Albany, Steve Jacobs and wife Lavon of Sherman; aunts Sherry Scibek of Ft. Worth, Hope Redfern of Blue; a love for his special cousins Wesley, Stephanie, Baleigh, Cade, Brooke, and Blake; numerous other cousins, and special friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Kolton's name to Victory Life Childrens Church Building fund P.O.
