Phillip Olandese

Services for Philip Olandese, 70, of Durant, who passed away on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at his home, will be held Thursday, Sept. 18th, 7:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Rev. Jeremy Parham will officiate. Philip was born January 3, 1938 in Krebs, Oklahoma to Carmelo and Filippa (Rizzo) Olandese. He attended and graduated from McAlester Schools and continued his education at Eastern State College in Wilburton. He proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard of Oklahoma. He was a heavy equipment operator. He moved to Bryan County in 1984 from Krebs, Oklahoma and worked for Cummins Construction until his retirement as Plant Manager. He was a member of the Thursday Night Motorcycle Bunch Club in Denison, Texas and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, atvs, outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Philip will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Philip was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Antionette Liner. Philip is survived by son, Terry Olandese of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Sherri Olandese and husband Steve Harvey of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; son, Phillip Olandese and wife Glenda of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughter Carla Johnson and husband Phillip of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter Carolyn Frances and husband Tom of Naples, Florida; daughter, Kimberly Pool of Naples, Florida; son, Harley Olandese and wife Jessica of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, Joe Olandese and wife Alma of OKC, Oklahoma, Frank Olandese and wife Gilda of McAlester, Oklahoma, Carlo Olandese and wife Rose of Waterford, Michigan, and Orland Olandese and wife Jean of Del City, Oklahoma; sisters, Jennie Olandese Cinocca of McAlester, Oklahoma and Josephine Bays and husband Gene of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brother in law Gerald Liner of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
