Rachel Michelle Chandler passed from this life on December 20, 2014 at the age of 24 years, 8 months and 25 days. Rachel was born on March 25, 1990 in Norman, Oklahoma to Rickey Chandler and Dee Ann Metts. Rachel moved to Bryan County at the age of 6 and graduated from Rock Creek High School. She worked as a customer service representative for Alorica in Durant. She attended Fairview Baptist Church and she enjoyed fishing, watching movies with her sister, interior design and she truly loved her family, many friends and all her animals. Rachel dearly loved Christmas time and the true meaning of it. Rachel was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Edith and Omer VanBrunt, Ted and Evelyn Chandler, Atha Renfro, Mack and Velda McEachern. step sister, Karra Metts, Rachel is survived by her mother and dad, Dee Ann Metts and Steve of Bokchito; father, Rickey Chandler of Longdale, OK; sister, Makenzie Metts of Bokchito; brothers, Billy, Rickey Don and Ryan Chandler all of Longdale, OK; grandparents, Don and Shirley Renfro, Rickey Chandler, Sr. and Jeannie Pauline; cousins, Danny and Stefanie Renfro, Cassie Renfro, Brittany and Barry McNatt, Cheyenne Ritchie, Tyler Rice, Aaron and Emma Renfro, Madison and Brady McNatt, Dani Kate Renfro and Dawson White; aunts and uncles, Gary and Jana Renfro, Lori Ritchie, Barry Cooper, Tammy and Gary Taylor, Tony Suenram, Maurine Lynn, Maudine and Joe Boyd, June and Mack Smith, Marvin and Brenda Metts, Mary and Jim Richardson, Helen and Bill Lange, Joy Metts and George Metts; numerous other cousins, numerous friends from Alorica and many best friends. Her very best being Tosha Ruth. A celebration of Rachel’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Dennis Boyd, Mike Erwin, Gary Renfro, Barry McNatt, Danny Renfro and Billy Chandler serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tim Lynn, Jeff Metts, Kyle Richardson, Rickey Don Chandler, and Ryan Chandler. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Fairview Baptist Church New Building Fund.
