Royce Alberta Hodge

Services to celebrate the life of Royce Alberta Hodge, 73, of Caddo, OK who passed away at her home on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 were held today at 2:00 PM at the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Caddo. Mack Chambers officiated. Royce was born September 13, 1936 in Caney, OK to Albert Allen and Irene Izora (Whittington) Littleton. She attended and graduated from Caney Public Schools. She married Jimmy Hodge on December 19, 1954 at the First Baptist Church in Caddo. She owned and operated a daycare in Caddo for many years and touched many young lives as she cared for them. She was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her family, children and especially her grandchildren. Royce will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved her. Royce was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Irene Littleton; brother, Noah Littleton; and sister, Vivian Littleton. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of nearly 55 years, Jimmy Hodge of the home; children, Shirley Vandenburg and husband Don of Bokchito, OK, Dewayne Hodge and wife Melinda of Durant, OK, David Hodge of Caddo, OK, Keven Hodge and wife Belva of Durant, OK, Raylene Crow of Durant, OK, Charles Hodge and wife Sheri of Denison, TX and Rex Hodge and wife Jeffri of Calera, OK; grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Chelsea, Stephanie, Brian, Chance, Melissa, Darren, Zac, Amanda, Alicia, Brittney, Chaz, Katherine, Faith, Chloe and Ashlyn; great grandchildren, Kimberly, Micah, Madison, Taylor, Payton, Summer, Trip, Hannah, Chet, Colby, Hailey, Kaydin and Izleigh; and other relatives and a host of dear and loved friends. Interment was in High Hill Cemetery in Atoka County with Brandon Vandenburg, Cody Vandenburg, Brian Hodge, Chance Hodge, Darren Hodge, Zac Hodge, Danny Hodge, Steve Hodge, Ronnie Hodge and Raymond Crow serving as pallbearers.
