Troy Keithley

Troy L. Keithley entered this life on January 18, 1927 in Durant, born to Walter and Geneva (Puckett) Keithley. Troy departed this life on November 28, 2016 at Alliance Hospital in Durant at the age of 89 years and 10 months and 10 days. Troy attended George Washington Elementary School and later went on to earn his GED. Troy lived in Durant, Oklahoma for most of his life. On September 27, 1947 Troy married the love of his life Joyce Marie (Roberts) Keithley. Troy joined and served proudly in the United States Army, while earning numerous accommodations during his enlistment. He earned the Army Occupation medal, Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Campaign Star, United Nations Service Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge just to name a few. After serving his Country during WWII and the Korean War, Troy worked for Western Geophysical for numerous years as a shooter, he also worked for Roberts Plumbing for several years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, Gardening, and hunting. Troy will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Preceded in death are his parents, Walter Keithley, and Geneva Keithley (Puckett), his brothers; Walter Olin Keithley Jr., Billie Jack Keithley, Maxi Herman Keithley; sisters Eula Mae Law and Rosie Lee. Troy is survived by his wife Joyce Marie Keithley; children, Christy Mullens of Durant, OK, Ellen Forrester of Durant, OK; grandson Kristen Patton of Durant, OK; granddaughters, Lori Kelly and husband Joe of Richardson, TX, Ashley Mullens Knapp of Pottsboro, TX, Jessica Forrester Nichols of Durant, OK; great grandsons Maddox Martinez of Garland, TX, Kylan Knapp of Van Alstyne, TX; great granddaughters Jillian Kelly of Richardson, TX, Ryenn Nichols of Durant, OK, Brooklyn Nichols of Durant, OK; along with other family and friends. Services for Troy will be held on Saturday December 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Family Hour will be Friday December 2, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel.
